Wimmer Photography supports Invisible Children

Wimmer Photography is proud to announce our support for Invisible Children, a charity that raises funds to help the children of Northern Uganda. In the spring of 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of a story that could change the world. What they found was a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them. A story where children are the weapons and the victims. The “Invisible Children: Rough Cut” film exposes the effects of a 20-year-long war on the children of Northern Uganda. Children who live in fear of abduction by rebel soldiers, and are being forced to fight as part of a violent army. The mission of Invisible Children is to get the resources, skills, and funds to the children of Uganda. These resources will provide health, safety and education.

Please help us support Invisible Children with the purchase of a bracelet. These bracelets, hand-made from local reed and recycled wire in Uganda, raise money that is funneled right back into Northern Uganda and the Invisible Children Education Program. Each colored bracelet is accompanied by an inspiring short-film, told by an invisible child. The campaign is intended to create jobs, in an otherwise unemployable war area, and allows Ugandans to generate a much-needed income.

The bracelets are available for purchase at the studio for only $20 and come in black, white, blue, green and red.

Dear Ron,

My son, Jon, is in the Peace Corp in a village called Gogwe near Lugazi, Uganda. I am very interested in your program for the invisible children.

I am also trying to find a way to collect text books for his vocational school that he is helping.

Please advise me as to how I too can offer the bracelets from my studio.
