Family Portrait at Tuckaway Country Club

A few weeks ago, Ron had the privilege of photographing Brett, Lisa and their three beautiful daughters at Tuckaway Country Club in Franklin. He loves to photograph on location and this was a beautiful place with several great locations. Ron had a lot of fun playing around with the family and let the girls just run around and have fun. Here are some of our favorite images:

Ron Wins Red Ribbon

Last Monday Ron attended the September Southeastern Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association (SEWPPA) meeting. These meetings take place throughout the year and feature speakers on a wide variety of topics including lighting techniques and marketing. This meeting also included a portfolio competition in which photographers submitted a portfolio or panel of one senior's poses. Ron had so much fun during this session at the beginning of the summer. He couldn't wait to show off these images and his work earned him a red ribbon during the competition.

Trash the Dress, On the Beach

We had approached one of our Ambassadors a couple of months ago about doing a Trash the Dress session with a few of her friends. She was really excited about it and Ron was excited to get to do another one of these sessions. When she and her friends came in, Ron made the decision to try something really different and go down to the lakefront. They started out near Lake Park Bistro with some more formal poses and then they got to play around in the sand and water at Bradford Beach. There was a jet ski nearby and the owner even let them take pictures with it. The images turned out so cute and playful and we can't wait to hang some up in the studio. Here are just a few of our favorites.

New Family

Last week we photographed a family that touched our hearts. The husband is stationed in Iraq and he was able to come home on leave to see his baby girl be born. This family was referred to us by another of our clients and we were happy we could do this for them. They are a wonderful and caring family and we wish them the best of luck! Ron had a great time photographing them, and here are a few of his favorite images.

Trash the Dress!

This is a brand new session we are trying out for our high school senior girls. Bring your old prom or homecoming dress and let's have some fun! We go around the park, lay in the grass, and play in the water. This is a great way to wear that special dress one more time and get some awesome portraits from it. This would also be fun for any brides to get some fun images in their dress after the wedding.

Wimmer Photography supports Invisible Children

Wimmer Photography is proud to announce our support for Invisible Children, a charity that raises funds to help the children of Northern Uganda. In the spring of 2003, three young Americans traveled to Africa in search of a story that could change the world. What they found was a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them. A story where children are the weapons and the victims. The “Invisible Children: Rough Cut” film exposes the effects of a 20-year-long war on the children of Northern Uganda. Children who live in fear of abduction by rebel soldiers, and are being forced to fight as part of a violent army. The mission of Invisible Children is to get the resources, skills, and funds to the children of Uganda. These resources will provide health, safety and education.

Please help us support Invisible Children with the purchase of a bracelet. These bracelets, hand-made from local reed and recycled wire in Uganda, raise money that is funneled right back into Northern Uganda and the Invisible Children Education Program. Each colored bracelet is accompanied by an inspiring short-film, told by an invisible child. The campaign is intended to create jobs, in an otherwise unemployable war area, and allows Ugandans to generate a much-needed income.

The bracelets are available for purchase at the studio for only $20 and come in black, white, blue, green and red.

First Senior of the Year!

Another high school senior season has begun and Ron is so excited to try out the new techniques and backgrounds he's been working on this winter. Amber was the first senior we've photographed this year and we're thrilled with how her images turned out. (Amber is thrilled with them too.) Here are a few of our favorites...
